We've noticed a slew of big brands crowdsourcing design on DesignCrowd because it's easy to tap the creative talents of over 400,000 designers. The recent Absolut X poster design contest is the latest in a string of brands including Microsoft and HTC using our platform. Brands get access to infinite creativity and designers get to work on big brand projects. It's a win-win scenario!
In March, Absolut's contest ended with a total of 175 submissions. In conjunction with the official contest, DesignCrowd and Absolut asked US-based contestants to create a poster design for the masquerade live event in which Absolut plans to bring together artists in three different genres: music, art, and mixology. Posters for this event needed to come from the inspiration of cocktails, music, or art; and illustrate what art was in a select city: Miami, Austin, Las Vegas, New York, and Philadelphia. The 1st place winner of the Absolut X contest received $700 and 2nd place received $100 from Absolut and DesignCrowd, plus a chance to win the official contest on Absolut's website with a $1000 reward plus the use of their design as the official poster for that city's event along with two VIP passes. Unfortunately, at the last minute Absolut had to change one of the event cities from Las Vegas to Seattle, so Absolut chose one Las Vegas submission for a Judges' Choice award, in which the design was featured across Absolut social media channels.

The winning poster of the DesignCrowd - Absolut contest was created by Unique Styles for the Las Vegas event. The design (above) includes famous icons and locations from the city. The bright colors show the eccentricity of the city.
