From startups to big brands and big names, many companies are turning to crowdsourcing for new ideas, to engage fans/audience and get social networks buzzing. From indie folk band Bon Iver crowdsourcing tattoo design from fans of the band, to artists looking for funding for exhibitions on Indiegogo or entrepreneurs on Kickstarter, getting ideas (and cash) from the crowd is making headlines and helping brands grow. Here's ten brands who've crowdsourced design on our platform.
#1 - Virgin
Earlier this month
Virgin crowdsourced a t-shirt for their Healthmiles brand. (@Designers - this contest is still open -

#3 - Amnesty International
Earlier this year
Amnesty International crowdsourced 4 t-shirt designs from DesignCrowd. The
"Fighting Bad Guys" t-shirt design by Raka (a designer from Tunisia) came in 3nd and is one of our favourites!
#4 - Dexter / Showtime
Dexter, Showtime's award winning Television show, came to DesignCrowd earlier this year to crowdsouce a promotional t-shirt to launch their upcoming season. The winning design(s) got a chance to be printed on merchandise/t-shirt and sold to Dexter fans around the world.
#9 - Harvard Business School
James Allworth (of Harvard Business School) said this about the experience they had with DesignCrowd, "DesignCrowd changes the game for getting creative work done. In the old world, you try to find a single designer that understands you and what you're hoping to achieve. You gauge them on their past work, and you just have to hope they'll get your work right as well."
