Top 25 Free Fonts of 2015

Got a favourite font you love using?

Any designer worth their salt knows the absolute importance of a good font. Typography is a vital component for having a great design. It interlocks communication and image – meaning it literally communicates the key message meant to be conveyed, while also playing an integral role in visual balance and harmony.

Ideally, a font should be easily legible, brand-specific, well-integrated into the design, and original. And, as any freelance designer will vouch, free of charge is also often at the top of the list of requirements. That can be a tall order. Thankfully, there's plenty of free fonts readily available online, if you just know how to find them.

We thought we'd make our designers' lives easier by showing them some of our favorite picks for 2015 right here. Special thanks ought to go to awwwards for pre-selecting their favorite 100 fonts of the year. It wasn't easy, but we whittled their list down some more, and are now proud to present our top 25 fonts of 2015.

It should be noted that while all the fonts listed here are free for personal and commercial use, designers should always read the creators license before using a font, to be sure they don't breach any requirements. In most cases these fonts focus on the EULA license, which prevents modification, reselling and redistribution.
