Who needs Netflix to watch Game of Thrones (GoT) when you've got the National Liberal Party?! That was our conclusion when back in February MPs in the National Liberal Party called for a leadership spill, casting a shadow on Tony Abbott's leadership and future as Prime Minister. Just over six months later, Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull has toppled Abbott in a second spill motion.
After several tumultuous years of Australian Labor Party leadership woes (Rudd v Guillard), now the Libs are following suit with public displays of disunity, accusations of press leaks, backroom conniving that would make even Machiavelli's protagonist in The Prince blush.
When initial #thespill motion was called earlier this year, with tongue firmly in cheek DesignCrowd thought it would be fun to celebrate the moment by asking our designers to photoshop Australian politicians as Game of Thrones characters via a
photoshop design contest. The contest received 84 designs from designers around the world, with some of best submissions featured in this roundup. Enjoy!
